For people taking public transportation, Bus 66 stops on the corner of Chicago and Franklin, 2 blocks south of 900 N Franklin. You can transfer to 66 from any bus that runs up and down the Drive and goes to Michigan Avenue. Bus 11, the Lincoln Avenue bus, runs on Orleans itself, and stops at Orleans and Locust, next to our parking lot and building. And finally, the Brown Line also stops at Chicago and Franklin.
For people driving on Lake Shore Drive, exit at North Avenue and go west to Wells or LaSalle. Go south to Division and west to Orleans. Go south on Orleans to Locust and turn left into the parking lot. (It is a parking lot that belongs to St. Luke's Church). 900 N Franklin is the large brick building just east of that parking lot. If you are driving in on the Kennedy, exit at Division and go east on Division to Orleans. Either route permits you to totally avoid all downtown traffic. If you are already downtown, go west on Chicago or Division to Orleans. The entrance to the building is on Franklin side, just north of the entrance to Kiki's Bistro.
There are two parking lots west of the building. The lot immediately west of the building may be used on Sundays only. For the rest of the week, you must use the lot on Orleans and Locust. To use either lot requires that you display a parking permit on your dashboard, to avoid being towed. You will get that permit from The Chicago Bridge Center. There is also limited (free) street parking available.
To enter the building, key in the access code and wait for the director to "buzz" you in.
